Spring is here!

Finally, it looks like spring is on its way!  Yesterday's walk to the
theater was a beautiful one.  Not a cloud in the sky, the temperature
never going above the upper 60's, and people finally shedding their
winter coats.  More sunglasses were in sight, as well as short sleeved
t-shirts and shorts (displaying pasty winter white arms and legs).  At
last, winter is over and done with.

Unfortunately, I spent it indoors for most of the day... we had a major
put-in rehearsal for four... count 'em, four new principals that are
joining the show beginning April 24: Ben Davis (Javert), Ann Harada
(Madame Thenardier), Max von Essen (Enjolras) and Mandy Bruno
(Eponine).  That's okay though, it was actually a lot of fun, and I
know these new people are going to fit right in.

Let's see... I've been in the show nearly two months now... my how time
is flying.  Speaking of which, my little Nicolila will be turning 1 in
less than a month!  Can you believe it, she was born almost a year
ago?  Amazing.  She's the cutest little human I have ever seen, with
lots of soft, downy black hair and chubby cheeks.  Right now she's got
a bit of a cold, but thanks to Dimetapp and Tylenol, she's resting
comfortably.

Time is flying... and that's never a bad thing.

wow, o nga noh, almost 2 months. how quick! oh i read about the new eponine and how you are the reason she's doing what she's doing. galing! and now she gets to work with you. it will be nice to watch her. i have my les miz tickets already! :D

have you tried echinacea for kids for nicole? my sister uses that for my nieces and it's really effective, but i think it's important to use it at the very beginning of a cold.. i also use it sometimes hehe.

see you in may! :D

Congratulations with Les Miz. I hope the rest of the run goes well. I feel devastated that I can't go and see you in NY, as I live in England.
Good Luck!
God Bless!

Hi Miss Lea,
Happy Birthday to little nicole soon :)
Me and my brother went to see you last thursday night :P thought you were brill~ keep it up!!!
there's one question we want to ask tho.. we reckon we found you on the barricade but not too sure. Were you wearing a green jacket, brown hat, light coloured(i think its white) trousers and you put some dirt on your face?

Isn't it wonderful to finally have some spring weather here in NYC, Lea? I ventured out of my apartment today because I had to head to midtown and stop by the college library. I ended up taking a walk through a street fair right after.

Ah, street fairs... a sign NYC is beginning to enjoying spring.

And speaking of your cute baby girl, Nicole... She and I share a birthday. I think it's pretty cool.

I read that Mandy Bruno is a huge fan of yours.

( excerpt from beavertonvalleytimes.com ):
"This is her first role on Broadway, and it’s so fitting,” Diann said. “ ‘Les Miserables’ was the first show we ever took her to see when she was 6, and she really fell in love.”

Mandy sat in the audience spellbound, her parents said.

“I was so enraptured by the whole production when I saw it,” Mandy recalled.

Watching the actors bring the story to life ignited something within Mandy, especially when she watched Tony award winner Lea Salonga’s portrayal of Eponine in the show.

“I knew then, that’s what I want to do,” Mandy admitted. “She was the reason I fell in love with the theater.

“I’m not sure if back then I wanted to be an actor or be her. She is such an icon.”

Hi Lea! My fiance (he was the one who took our pic but in the excitement of it all, I forgot to introduce him to you) and I saw the show yesterday and we had a wonderful time. I want to thank you for signing our playbills and cd inserts and for taking a picture with me. Thanks for being so gracious to your fans. It's always a thrill. Enjoy the weather! I know we did. Happy spring, everyone!

Nicole shares the same birthday as two of my friends and my English teacher! How are you celebrating her birthday? My class and I are going to Disney World that week, and we're going to celebrate the three birthdays down there :)

I'm planning to see Les Mis this summer!!

Spring has finally sprung in NYC, but I just checked weather.com and it will be drizzling the whole time I will be there. Bummer! Oh well, as long as I see you on stage this Friday and hopefully back stage, then no rain will dampen my spirits. Can't wait to see you! Take care!

Yup, Spring is finally here. It's nice to finally go outside and not wear layers of clothing.

I made another artwork. Ben and some of the cast are in it too. Hope you like it! : )

Only the older formulation. The newer one is okay na. You may have gotten a bulletin that's a few years old, when PPA (phenylpropanolamine) was taken off the shelves.

Hi Lea! I saw you in the theater remember? I was only visiting my dad's college classmate in New York, where i really live is in the philippines. My favorite play is Miss Saigon(Even though it isn't showing anymore). It is amazing how you manage to never miss a play, as the man at the ticket counter said when we bought the ticket. When are you returning to the Philippines?

Hi Lea, my whole family loves you. My mom, aunts, uncles and cuzns have seen Miss Saigon, Flower Drum Song and Le Miz. I've only been here in NY recently, so I was thrilled when I got a mailer from Telecharge that you'll be in the cast of Le Miz!! I saw the show the other night and we had a wonderful time. Can you believe that I was already crying at the start of the scene where you were kicked by that woman outside the factory?!! You're performance touched my heart.
While you were signing our Playbills your eyes lit up with joy when you heard Pola (my daughter) ask you 'bout your baby!! Ganyan talaga reaction ng mga mommy. Thanks for being so gracious to your fans. I hope that Nic's doing great. She is adorable:)

Ben Davis was in the cast the first time I saw Les Mis(almost ten years ago). This was back when he was with the U.S. tour. Lea, I am curious, what do you like about Ben, Ann, Max, and Mandy in their roles?

Hi! Im a Filipino from Brooklyn and Im so excited to see you on Les Miz. Im watching it on May 24th on Broadway and I know you'll do just as great as when I first saw you on Miss Saigon back in 2000 during your manila stop! I am a big fan! I also saw you at the Boardwalk in Atlantic City, NJ 2 years ago. Seeing you on broadway is the best gift I could ever ask for my birthday! =)
