Thanks for posting Lea. I hope and pray that ALL of your loved ones, friends, fans, and kababayans are all okay. I also hope the missing are all found safe and sound, and are just disoriented, or in a hospital or safe place, where they have either lost their ID, or are in shock from what has happened. My heart goes out to all affected, whether directly or indirectly.

Thank you for posting this, Lea. Prayers and a donation go out to all those affected and their families. Life is precious and in a moment it can be gone. Pray for each other - and LOVE one another always! May all the people whose lives have been so dramatically impacted be strengthened by the prayers and charity of others.

Guy Gustafson said...

Per Ms. Lea's post, I donated through http://www.abs-cbnfoundation.com/index.php (to Sagip Kapamilya, that includes disaster relief...although, if you select where it's most needed, most, if not all, will probably go there).

I have been having great difficulty trying to donate through the abs-cbn foundation web site. Yespayments, which processes credit card transactions for abs-cbn, has emailed me 3 times (after 3 attempts to donate on my part) each time telling me that my bank card company is not allowing the payment. When I call the bank card company, they say that they show no attempts being made by the organization to charge my credit card for the donation, so it's not on the banks end, it's on either abs-cbn or Yespayment's end. Yeesh. Hopefully, others won't experience the same difficulty that I am having. I will try one of the other alternatives to make the donation. I hope it works. From what I've seen and heard, the money is desperately needed.

Rick Holy said...

In case anybody from the U.S. is also having difficulty getting credit card donations processed through abs-cbn, you might want to try this alternative. I went to the U.S. UNICEF web site. They have an area specifically dedicated to donations for aid to the Philippines. I was able to make a donation without any problems regarding the credit card. The people of the Philippines continue to be in our thoughts and prayers.

Thanks, everyone!!! Also, if you have additional resources to share, share them here!

For those in the US, and as rickholy chose, donations can be made to UNICEF, and the site says that they will match the donation up $500,000!
