Hong Kong Souvenirs...

- two blisters from wearing high heels for a total of over 6 hours last weekend;

- an extra few pounds around my middle, thanks to lots of fantastic Chinese food (Pekingese, Cantonese and Shanghainese);

- hugs from friends that I haven't seen in ages;

- sore calves from the long walks to, from and through the hotel, the mall, and neighborhood restaurants;

- three coats (I'll need them for when I go on tour, and needed them in Hong Kong... it was freezing!);

- a pair of red sequined Converse All-Stars (I'll wear these onstage in concert one night, I know not when);

- two sets of Chinese silk pajamas for Nicole, gifts from friends, and other souvenirs gotten from the airport (I love that airport);

- wonderful memories that will last us a lifetime.

I can not imagine that you can walk in public such as malls. There are many Filipinos in Hong Kong.

Blisters even wearing Nike heels (I am just SO glad men aren't expected to wear heels)???

I think you should wear your new Converses on stage at the next concert at which Gerard conducts. He can wear his black patent leather versions!

You left everyone in your audiences with wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. You, Gerard, and the orchestra were simply wonderful.

Hahaha! I know what you mean by that. Looks more like a mall than an airport. That's where I go when I crave for Krispy Kreme and Burger King. Only 10mins away from my place.

I don't know why Hong Kong is so cold this year. Can you feel the Chinese New Year bonhomie in Hong Kong? My head shot is me, wearing a cheongsam and holding a Fai Chun(auspicious message). Is the Chinese food tasty? I think Shanghainese food is the most tasty. I am very happy that you enjoy so much in Hong Kong.=)

(I love that airport)... hahaha... so does my wife. We actually missed our flight shopping in that airport. We had to re-book for a later flight just so she could finish her shopping... It wasn't very funny then but now I'm beginning to understand. Next time we'll go 5 hours earlier... Thanks for that insight = )

I'm glad that your family is enjoying your Hong Kong concert tour. Take time to relax and do nothing as well. And if you encounter any Filipinos working there, I hope they treat you like royalty!
