Catching a cold

Actually, that title is wrong... I caught one already... Nicole got sick, which means that mommy also gets sick.  I'm actually happy that I'm feeling under the weather now than closer to the concert dates.

Speaking of the weather, why has the rainy season seemingly come down upon us in May?  Isn't it supposed to start in June?

I feel bad for a lot of young kids who were so looking forward to summers out of town, presumably where the sun would be shining... balmy days, sandy beaches... but instead, there's only rain.  A few of my friends went to Boracay hoping for a reprieve from the cloudy skies of Manila, but instead got more of the same when they arrived.

Something is going wrong with our earth... and I'm hoping it isn't beyond repair.

It's a La Nina year... Plus may bagyo... Pagasa was predicting rains throughout the summer and more when the monsoon season starts.

climate change... effect of global warming, maybe. yeah, we normally expect drizzle in may... but not overcast and rain.

i think...mali ang kalendaryo natin...kaya after many cycles iba na ang pattern...yung dating january nagiging december and eventually magiging july...he he he

I can totally relate. Please take care and hope you and Nicole get over the cold soon. Dito naman, we are dealing with Hawaii's state pollutant, the nasty VOG. By the way, Happy B'day, Nicole!

"Unos tanto, y otros tan poco" as people would say here, basically it means we are never happy with what we have. Rainwise, I mean. We have severe water problems here in Spain and weather pronostics don't look good for our reservoirs. Send us your rain!!! Hope you feel better, break a leg for your concert

Pagaling ka Manang. Next time you feel illness is coming, fight it right away (rest, meds, vitamins, and more rest). All the best to your concert.

My mom always said that rainy season starts around May...like it starts to rain a little bit around the end of May. But every year it's a week earlier... >_< Oh my...sana hindi umabot sa April. Otherwise... >_<

awww the bday girl is (or was?) sick... i hope she gets well soon or that she's okay na. happy 2nd brithday, nicole! :D and get well soon, too, lea!

earth out of whack -- i blame it on global warming! that's why i'm slowly trying to go green since last year.

Guy Gustafson said...

I pray that both the birthday girl and you feel better immediately!!

Mother Earth isn't happy with us...a devastating earthquake, typhoon, and tornadoes...while these have, and will, always happen, I've heard (and believe) that global warming makes typhoons/hurricanes & tornadoes stronger. I'm hoping it isn't beyond repair, also.

yes it's a bit confusing...PAGASA earlier announced that the merry month of May will be the hottest month, but see how weather changes...let's just hope Mother Earth goes back to its normal self....

Latest I heard on the Weather Channel is that Tropical Storm Halong is taking aim on the Philippines! I hope & pray that you, your family, your friends, and my friends...everybody in the Philippines makes it through OK!

I really hope so too.

I do think something is going wrong with our Earth. I watched a documentary about Global Warming on National Geographic Channel and it is really affecting the weather and the Earth's landscape so bad. Our winter here in Wisconsin is getting worse than ever. It's almost June but our temperature still gets down to freezing point. We still get frost. We had almost 7 feet of snow this winter. I can't wait for warm weather. It's spring time na pero feeling winter pa rin. Anyway, I hope you and Nicole are better now. May God bless you on your concert. Have a successful one!

Awesome concert! Congrats! I tried to capture the moments, so I hope the photos do justice to how wonderful the staging and performances were. (http://egreyes.blogspot.com). I was trying to upload the pictures here on Multiply, but it seems there's a problem doing so, the uploading process never ends, so I had to settle posting them on blogspot. Kudos also to Freddie Santos, the elegant stage design of Mio Infante, and of course, "in the genes," the musical direction of your bro!
