Cruisin', Part 2

Thus far the cruise has been a mix of great and not-so-great... the cruise itself has been wonderful, and we have been treated wonderfully by the Filipino members of its crew, from our stateroom steward to the wait staff to the guys at room service.  We've been greeted by ear-to-ear smiles and warmth that can only be found on our islands, and it's been a fantastic holiday to be surrounded by it.

The not-so-great part has been the less than calm seas when the ship does set sail, which makes dinnertime an interesting adventure.  Beyond that, we've been having a good time.

Right now we're docked in Kauai, so the internet is a bit more stable.  I should be heading to bed soon though... just because Nicole gets up relatively early, and I'd better be ready for her when she does.

Hi Lea - I find it interesting that days after the cruise, your body tends to adjust that even when you're on land (sitting or standing), your body has the tendency to move as if you were still on the ship. You might already have this - if not, Dramamine helped me get by and avoid motion sickness. My folks recently came back from a cruise, and the Pinoy crew treated them to a Tapsilog breakfast everyday. By the way, I'm up here in Big Bear right now where it's 21 degrees, and right before we took an exit from the 10 Fwy, there you were up high on a billboard - your Jan 3rd ad for San Manuel. See ya next week.

Spending Christmas on a cruise ship sounds wrong to me. Maybe because I'm British I always need it to be cold. You can wear great winter clothes like coats, scarves, Hats!!
Anyway have fun!
Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year!

My folks took a Silversea cruise once. Silversea is a high end cruise line. They were the only Pinoys among the guests and really were treated like royalty by the Pinoy staff. I guess this is one perk that Pinoys get whenever they ride cruises. :)
