And finally... it's over

Yes... our run of 16 shows in a row is over and done with.  By the end of it, many of us were close to going insane, being susceptible to laughing fits at even the slightest of silly things.  A cast member's pants ripped onstage (and loudly), which nearly sent me into a fit of laughter... another cast member mis-sung his lyrics, which sent another guy laughing, which then meant I had to fight to keep a straight face (despite the twinkle in my eye).  It's inhumane to make a company do these many shows in a row without a break.

Those of you doing theatre in Manila, consider yourselves blessed to have shows mostly on the weekends.

By the end of last night's show, my arms and legs were feeling weak and tired... everyone was battling physical and mental fatigue... and it didn't help that some a**hole was taking prolonged video of the show (during Fantine's Death, as well as the Act II Finale).  You all already know my feelings about this... I needn't write any more about it.

Right now I've got my TV on, my feet up and have sleepiness setting in.  Good night, everyone!  It's time to get some much needed rest.

Being in the same time zone as New York, Lea is always up in the wee hours of morning (seeing her always online, that is). Hope she gets enough sleep before rushing for the matinee show.

Hi Lea,
Hope you are getting the good relaxing time you deserve. I'm a big fan of yours. Still remember your KLIM tv commercial and I've been enjoying watching video clips of you on YouTube. Anyway, I will be New York around mid-July, and have planned on not missing Les Miserables. Just wondering if you'll still be performing around that time. If not, that's too bad. I've been waiting for this moment really. =(

I've seen your recent interviews on YouTube and you never cease to inspire us, Filipinos, to dream big and to put forth the best effort like you do. I am very proud of you!

warm hellos from Lima Peru,
Jean

Go get some rest, girl, but before you do, I wanted to share with you that I went to see a local production today of "Baby" here in San Diego and it was fabulous! The girl who played Lizzie was great (in fact the whole cast were! It was amazing!) but I couldn't help wishing that it was YOU up on stage. Since I missed the Manila production, this was my chance to see the musical for the first time and it was sensational! Oh, and of course, I was listening to your Baby CD as my story goes on....and on....goodnight and sleep tight! =)

Hi Lea,

I'm in New York right now sitting in the lobby of the Sheraton hotel, and about to cry my eyes out because we had tonight's Les Miz tickets for the 8pm show and was in extreme shock and disappointment to find out that you're not performing. We re-scheduled our tickets for Tuesday night's 7pm show. The backstage gentleman and I believe one of the production or stage managers were nice enough to give us the theaters direct number to call tomorrow. They suggested to contact the theater around 5 on Tuesday, June 26th to find out if you will be performing. I guessed they felt really bad for me when I told them that I came all the way from Canada just to watch you. So, will you be performing tomorrow during the 7pm June 26th show. Please, please Lea do let me know if you will be performing tomorrow as this is my last day in New York. Look forward to hear back from you. Thank you in advance and take care.

I would cry too..mistake I made is I got matinee tix..one of the best seat in town..except afterwards, I didn't see Lea with the rest of the crew. I figured she only came out during the night performances. I was kicking myself for getting in the matinee show. What was i thinking?
