And it's a tough one to shake.
I thought this was just a simple cold, but it turned into a throat thing (I was off last Tuesday, no thanks to it). I still have some discomfort, but I'm comfortable enough to still sing, thank goodness. But a couple of our principals have fallen ill -- Ben Davis (Javert) and Mandy Bruno (Eponine) -- and I don't know when they'll be back.
Whatever this is, I want it gone. I'm doing whatever I need to, and getting lots of rest. Hopefully by this weekend I will be back at 100%... although I highly doubt that during this run, that's going to happen. Hooooooh boy...

It's hard to believe that u could get ill. Your music and voice just make u seem invinsible, a Goddess. Whenever I listen to "Inspired", I feel on Cloud 9.

UPDATE: the bug is gone, and I'm much better. Nic had a cold, but recovered in two days, far faster than my own best efforts at kicking a bug. I've been back to work for the last 7 shows and am feeling fine. Hopefully it will be a long, long time before I fall ill again. Of course I would prefer NEVER getting sick again.
Ack. The bug is like a twin thing between you and Nic. But yaay Nic has strong resistance she recovered in two days! :)

I read somewhere children inherit the combined genetic resistances of their parents against infection. So healthy mom and healthy dad means healthy kids.

Thanks for this wonderful website. Are you going to be performing all through August? We are planning a special trip there for one of your Sat. matinee shows in August. Hope you also perform at the matinee shows.
Thank goodness you're feeling way better. Are you taking a daily multivitamin tab? Perhaps it may increase your body's defense mechanism. Just my two cents as a nurse. I just disliked the nauseating side effects but I put up with it 'cause it works for me.
Is the whole cast back and well? We want to see the show when all the principals are there :)
