Pictures taken backstage at the Broadhurst. This is stuff that happens when we're not on stage. I shall keep taking more pics as my run progresses. Hope you like these!

i saw a bootleg vid of Drew singing Sail Me Away during a Lestat performance and boy was he good! Great acting, great vocals! I might be bashed but I think he's even better than Hugh Panaro as Lestat... vocally, at least!
Wow! He looks....sinister.
The costumes are so different from the West End version.
Cute! How old are they?

Was she on the 10th anniversary concert?
Yes, she was Madame Thernadier in the 10th Anniversary Concert.
i love him! hehe
You rock at life for posting this. I literally stared at it for an hour. I really couldn't be happier, three of the most talented people ever standing next to each other in whore costumes.. *drool* (I'm such a fangirl) Thank you SO much for sharing this. Words cannot express how awesome my brain thinks you are right now.
I totally did not realize that was his full name. Wow, I feel dumb...
Bullet boy outfit? So, you also play the role of a young boy? I may sound stupid but I just wanna make sure...he he he.
Hi! I'm based in NYC. I watched the April 24th(Tuesday)7pm performance. I'm just wandering, was Norm's role same as Alex's? Nice pics, thanks. And marvelous performance! Loved it...
this is beyond fun!!!! seriously!!!! :)
thanks for giving us a "backstage tour" :)
Great pics! Only wish I could be there to watch you. :( Thanks for sharing these with us. Looks like you all are having a blast. :)
Cool!!!>... hehe.. You enjoy taking photos don't you?... hmm... your models are having fun, i must say... :-)
I read they came and supported you when you did the Spelling Bee. I think that's kind of cool that even though it's a "job" you guys bonded even if you weren't there from the beginning
This is so cool. Lea, thank you for sharing your pics.
Manang, why is there no picture of you during the party?
Hi Lea. Just wondering if it is just dark make up on Celia's face?
Nope, Norm played Javert. Alex plays Valjean. Norm's replacement is Ben Davis (he was Marcello in Baz Luhrmann's production of La Boheme).
Because I was taking the pictures... and was relatively intoxicated and therefore un-picture worthy.
Does the cast party a lot?
fun! see you real soon! can't wait!!!!!!!!! let's find bling blings in ny!
wow! the costumes are so well made!
are the songs in the whole show still the same as when you played eponine?
i will treasure that les miz experience. it was really great. im glad that you are back on stage again. congratulations and pls keep me updated about your coming shows. God bless.
ely argao
ooooh another hottie Blake over here... of course the other one is American Idol's Blake Lewis... =)
That Kaylie girl is so cuuuute!
True! Haha!
Thanks for answering my question reg. Norm. It's just that when I saw his pics, I had a feeling that he's a great performer too,am I right? BTW, I'm one of your avid fans. I also saw your Nov'05 major concert in Carnegie Hall. You've never changed performance-wise, always connected with the audience. Thanks really, cause you're one of my role models in life.
ei..thanks 4 granting my request..i sent u a personal message..did u recieve it? well,i think u did because u posted pics of les miz na eh..thank you manang..=)
POGI...haha. i love the stripes! =)
but where's Lea..? this is no picture wout her
you must have a wonderful life
great!your beautiful ms.lea whatever your role is (^_^)
wow!!!you gurls are really lovely!cool
I had a big crush on him when I watched your show. As he was signing my souvenir program, I didn't know what to say to him. Words just rolled out of my tongue - "wow, you're handsome!" -- It was really awkward! haha! Good thing he replied, "you're not bad either."--kilig!
Anyone pls email me the Les Mis schedule to its finale with Lea. Again, thanks.
leamichellelloyd@yahoo.com
Darn, I won't be able to see Aaron and Norm! Oh well, still looking forward to watching everybody. :D
I am still elated to have seen you again and meet Steffi in person! Thank you, Lea, for being just so wonderfully nice and gracious. Steffi is sooo sweet. Your performance last Friday, the 27th, was simply amazing! I just wish I saw you playing Eponine years ago as you had a much longer role there. But nonetheless, you were fabulous as Fantine. I hope you liked the gift I gave you. God bless you and your family always!
Thanks for sharing, Lea!
*gasp* Norm is gone?! I'm so glad I got to watch him perform! He has a lovely, lovely voice.
i can't wait to see perform,i've seen it ryt before na nalaman ko na you'll star in it sa playbill.com so from then on sinasabihan ko lahat ng mga pinoy na makasalubong ko as in lahat coz i'm so proud of you...GODSPEED
Cosette cover?
"I went home very, very happy." I bet you did. he he he
Hi! Brian D'Addario as Gavroche performed with a magical, clear voice. I was amazed by his young extraordinary talent. Just curious...do you have any idea how young is he?
Hi Lea,
I can't wait to see the play. we're going to N.Y to watch you. Hopefully I can meet you in person... I can't wait
Manang, is Cinderella already a go on 2008? Who will be producing it?
Megan was enchanting as Eponine!! The way her voice blended with yours in the finale sent chills running up and down my spine!
Aw Norm Lewis!! Eeee. I can't wait to see him in Little Mermaid with Sherie Rene Scott! Hahaha. Sorry if I'm nagkakalat in this album. I'm a huge musical theatre geek.
I'm still so amazed how fast each scene moves to the other. How difficult/easy is it to remove that "dirt" on your body?
WOW. I so didn't recognize him without the beard! Hahaha.
I didn't see any brown schmear on your face when I saw you perform which made it easier for me to spot you during the barricade scene. Niiiice! Do you find Les Miz to be a much easier play to perform (compared to MS and FDS) since your role especially in the second act isn't as demanding and emotionally-taxing?
pretty as ever!!!!!!
He he, I can see my artwork in the background. : )
I saw Doug Kreeger on 4/29 and he was fantastic
I'm so glad u never seem to age, Lea. You are so youthful *smiles !
Would you be collaborating a show with Michelle Kwan... ? Any plan ?
Would you be collaborating a show with Michelle Kwan... ?
I watched your show in NYC last month. You moved me. Your voice is crystal clear and haunting. I am so proud that you are a Filipina. After watching Les Miz, I hummed the songs you sang in the show... for a week.
My seats for the show were 4th row from the stage, which was fantastic, and I was able to see you as a bullet boy. It was great! Thanks for posting some "behind-the-scenes" pictures. Please post more! :)
i love your voice blended with ruthie's in the finale of les miz TAC. though i think there was a problem with your mic! :)
ali? i knew it!! i kinda wondered if she's filipino because she looked hawaiian. adam, i thought he's a latino.
Yeah! :) I heard about what LuPone did when she was Fantine in OLC. That was hilarious! ha ha ha! :)
amzin show!!!!super!
amazin show
When I saw Les Miz in April, Marissa McGowan was playing Eponine. She was amazing! A beautiful voice. It just goes to you that the understudies are by no means second rate performers.
Thanks for sharing the pics, Lea!
Gosh.. Just amazing!
gosh you dont look past 20!!!! wow
i guess music keeps ya young!!!! i should know when i perform i feel like i'm six...its great!
You're a real beauty! Thanks Lea for sharing! Feels like being there (to watch the show)......even when i can't :(

Will you be performing in Les Mis through July? I may be in NYC and I want to make sure you're going to be in the musical if I go!
fifteen1015 - Lea is scheduled to perform in Les Miz until October.
thank you for sharing your thoughts and pictures with us! i've been a huge fan for years. it was nice getting a glimpse of life backstage on Les Miz! God Bless!
you look so young and you're my ultimate idol!
beautiful as ever, i wonder when I could ever see Les Miz with you on it
Ikaw magandang!
That picture is so cool! I like how Celia has a lot more dirt on. ^^
I LOVE THIS WOMAN!!!
the greatest bullet boy hehe
is ali a filipina? she looks like one..or half :)
Ali Ewoldt is half Filipina and so as Adam Jacobs.
bagay ah. ganda pa din. :)
Waak! I like your coat!!!! hehe
they are beautiful but you're so incredibly gorgeous as well... you're ageless lea!
Ah, three of my favorite leading ladies! :D I ADORE this picure!
Haha he's so adorable!
What a great costume! Thanks for sharing this with us. :D We might not have recognized you otherwise!
you're so lovely! Is Les Mis coming here in California? Just asking....can't wait to see you perform.
So proud of you Lea!...I'm such a big fan and hopefully I'll get to see you in Les Mis.
what i really love about this site is we get to see a glimpse in the life of our idol, plus she chats with her fans whenever she has the time, and that is totally awesome. Other actors won't do that at all.
you can see in ali's face that she look's like a filipina
I saw Alex, in Sweeney Todd, He was amazingly good. He played the Beadle in the Revival. Looking forword, on seeing him again.
Where are you Lea? Cannot find you.
Bottom row, 2nd from the right. The one with the hat and green coat.
You've always been my Diva!!!! Even with that costume you're still amazing!!!
Ang pogi mo jan!!!!!!!!!!!! Idol kita talaga!!!!
She was great as Eponine! :]
Truth be told...with a full beard, he kinda looked like Osama Bin Laden!
hi lea... i am glad that you have settled down -- congrats for your '"fantine's" success in broadway... cheers, george in london
hi miss lea! you're so pretty and so great. i really really admire you for it. as a matter of fact, i'm a fan of yours. and when you came to my school once. whoa., you were really awesome. :)
lovely indeed!
Ali is such a sweet girl. I asked her for a picture with her after the show, and she seemed thrilled to get her picture with me! :)
we adopt the concept of les miz here in our school (philippines).. the audience love it so much! haha! they enjoyed so much the lovely ladies and on my own.. ^^
are they still in the cast? i don't remember seeing any of them last July 21.
I was in New York last weekend (August 3-4) and watched your matinee show. You were outstanding! Keep the Filipino flag raised in Broadway! Mabuhay ka.
I was bored and new in this multiply craze and I happen to stumble on your page...I must say you made me proud when I watched the show in NYC last spring, I brought along my friend who isn't Filipino, and she was amazed too...what's even more heart-warming is how the other audiences admired you, there were three Caucasian women behind us before the show started and they were looking through the booklet, one of the girls just blurted out, "Oh they changed the actors but I don't really care as long as they keep 'Salonga' on the show"...I mean wow, I was really happy when I heard it and good thing I was able to control myself from saying "I agree or that's right!" sad thing is I forgot my camera the day we went to watch Les Miz, bummer =( but yeah that's all...I hope you do something on-stage soon. keep it up Miss Lea, it was an honor for me to witness your talent =)
ive seen the show last saturday and all seats are taken...it was really good!!!you were really outstanding!!! going there was really worth it....a lot of filipinos were there too...until now im thrilled upon remembering what ive seen in les miz...keep it up,..God bless...sure our countrymen are all proud of you!!!
i didnt know he was a filipino..he is so handsome....
I love her voice...heard it first in Little Women The Musical...Hers and sutton's voice were perfect in Somethings Are Meant to be...made me cry!
wow! chicks!
This is kinda cool, where is this exactly? What does he do after he calls the show? I was an asst. stage manager for my last play in high school this past year. Do stage managers prompt actors on Bway too? What they do during the show during a Bway production? It may be a stupid question, but I would love to know. Thanks.
~Darci
oooohhhh! I saw Adam at the Pantages Theater Lez Miz! He`s an awesome Marius! We have a picture! He`s such a sweet guy!
A great Javert! looking forward to little mermaid...
this is a great cast..i was lucky to have watched d show last march..everybody was so wonderful, especially our very own ms lea..too bad, some of them left the show..
hi miss lei! I just wanna congratulate you for all your achievements. Me, my Mom and my sisters like you a lot. You become an inspiration to others (especially to us). Although we don't get a chance to see you perform live (w/ all your musical plays and performances), we love it when you perform on stage. I wish you all the great things. The "goodness" is always in your heart..god has sent you an angel (your baby). Good luck! God speed! (:
messy at the back ..... thats new york hehehhe ... you know what i mean .. but i still know new yorker is the best hehehe
whaaaa?? i had no idea he's Pinoy. That's great.
so funny. i was surprised to see you as that character. i didn't know you played two roles. first I was confused 'cause Fantine was supposed to be dead but then, i see you there running around.he he he and then I also saw Ali playing different roles...so I guess that's just how it is. very resourceful. :)
it's amazing how these little girls have such beautiful and powerful voices.
Is Kevin an actor too?
oh yeah, she was eponine and god she was soo great!!
love it ms. lea ganda mo talaga hope i could have one pose with you sayang yung shot ko with you sa backstage sa GSIS theater back then when you were doing the play PROOF.
love your picture.thank you for sharing your family pictures. i'm so sad you're not part anymore of the les miz. babalik ka pa ba sa les miz?
hi miss leah! u make us proud to be pinoys
The first time I saw Les Miz on Broadway I sat in the front row, and I noticed that Fantine came back as part of the company, but when I saw you on Broadway in May (but not in the front row), I even tried to find you in the company later on and couldn't tell who else you played...now I know! Thanks so much for posting these pictures!
When I saw Les Miz on Broadway 5/11/03, a week before it's first run closed, Jayne couldn't make it that day...but I did get to see her perform as Fantine in Wallingford, Connecticut in 10/02 as part of the touring company. She was my favorite Fantine I had seen on stage until I saw you! I've seen Les Miz six times on stage including one high school production...I just love that musical!
I didn't know Adam Jacobs is Filipino! Guess I didn't read my Playbill too well! Adam is my favorite (by quite a bit) of the six different actors on stage I've seen play Marius - he was outstanding! Too bad Ali couldn't be there the day I went.
As a side note, when I received an ad in my mail saying "She's back!" and saw your picture on the next page, I didn't realize those words meant Cosette (and Les Miz) was back on Broadway, I thought it meant YOU were back in the show! Anyways, it worked - it got me to go see it again!
indeed! pero iba pa rin ang beauty mo... beauty ng pinay!
nice pict...ms.lea...
I love you Lea, may you be with make up on or without, your beauty is still young looking.. keep making us all proud to be Pinays.. Take care of yourself and Nicole and Mr. Chien..
I loved this show! I was crying buckets after it finished! We were hoping to catch your show when we reserved the tickets, but we found out on the day of the show that you had finished your last performance a week before we watched! (Oct 21st, right?) It was great, but I'm sure it would have been much better if you were the one performing (not that the lady who played Fantine wasn't good, it just would have been better if it was you, just because it was you :) )
We're proud of you!
*sigh!* i wish i could've watched it...
i performed "i dreamed a dream" for a show once and how i wish i could've watched you so that I could have gotten tips...
Oh, I hope they release the CD this year. It's been too long in the wait. I saw that vid too. They both have different ways of approaching the role. Sadly, Hugh wasn't nominated for the Tony and it was Carolee who was instead if I remember it right. :)
thanks for sharing your life here........love ya and your big talent!!
funny! coz I noticed you the moment you came out from that side of the stage! changed costume hahah..i was like 4th row fr the stage...So bad coudnt take pictures though. Kelan ka balik sa broadway?
I actually didnt realized that she is until I read it somewhere....Shes so pretty.
Can't believe after all those years... here you are Ms. Lea via multiply. So when are you goin back for the remake of Miss Saigon?? Im the only on this planet that havent watch it.
All these photos reminds me again and again, that I should went backstage after ur Les Miz show, now Im waiting in vain...heheh balik po kayo sa NYC pls.
hey, i missed to watch your shows, "Les Miz" in NYC. hope to see you soon. God blees you and your family.
Haha, i haven't seen it neither! I wish I had but I have a lot of excuses. First i live in France and my sister had not moved to London yet. And then I wasn't even born in 1989! haha! I'd love to see a revival, though. With you miss Lea (of course!) and Ruthie Henshall! My two favorite performers ever, TOGETHER!
Anyway, Let's go back to Les Misérables! You're beautiful in this picture (as usual)! I wish i could have seen you playing Fantine, but at 17... There was no way my mum would have let me go to New York on my own! It's already hard for her to let me go at my sister's in London! (I guess now that you're a mummy Lea, it's easier to understand my mother). Maybe one day you'll come back to the west end and I would see you live! And Nic would be so cute in a little British school uniform! lol!
Please forgive my bad english, as I said I'm french and well.. i'm far from being fluent in English!
I've never noticed Fantine came back as a bullet boy! It makes sense now, because well, Fantine doesn't have anything to do before her come back in the epilogue...
I wondered, when you were playing Eponine, did you do something before coming as Eponine? Or were you just waiting for your entrance? (Please forgive me my poor english, i'm just a french teenage girl. I hope you'll understand this comment though)
Anyway, you are one lovely bullet boy, haha!
He's one cute Marius! Lucky Cosette! HAHA!
I have to say that from the few things that make me proud of being French, Les Misérables is my favorite!
hi ms. lea, you always look good in any outfit.... and i love how you dress up so modestly beautiful even in gowns.
i think it's Kaylie Morgan Calogero...the girl who replaced tess. i'm not sure
the girl looks like Joanna Ampil
