Hi Lea! How are the rehearsals going? I hope all is well.
i'm not sure if there are still tickets but try contacting BOK still at 09228712004. he may have some tickets left. he only has the 20th.
good luck!
:-)
As far as I know, they are not selling tickets anymore. I called Ticketworld last week and said that tickets are available only til Monday, October 16th. But check it and ask if they're still selling. Tickets are almost sold out, just few seats left for both nights (less than 20, I presume). Anyway, ticket prices are 2, 500, 1,500, 1000, 500 and 350. And btw, ticketworld charges about 8% for the ticket, so you better hurry!
I just checked the Ticketworld website and there are still orchestra center seats for the 20th.
great concert, lea! the tomorrow number almost made me cry! if you haven't sang pagdating ng panahon, i might leave the concert with a heavy heart because of the uncried tears. :-)
You were obviously on the top of your form last night. You never fail to elicit from me a voiceless "wow"! Overall, great concert, great performers, great production; worth my every penny - err - peso. :) Congratulations! Let's hope for the future indeed.
I thought I'd say hi here, Lea, since I wasn't able to backstage. It was a great evening. Please congratulate Gerard for his new arrangements on the songs you've done before. I hope Everybody Says Don't and If I could and Chiquitita gets to be sold commercially on a CD.
I closed my eyes when you asked us, too, imagining a place safe for the next generation. It indeed would be wonderful to have the next generation ask us, "What was war?"
Lea, I appreciate that you support Children's Choirs. I mean, sure, there are singing contests on TV, saying they want to discover talents and provide them their dreamed of 'break,' and for a while, lots of people think that it helps. With these contests we got Sarah Geronimo, Eric Santos, Sheryn Regis, and sure, individually, the contests helped these talents break into commercial recording.
But personally, your supporting Children's Choir, and I know there were just two of the hundreds in the Philippines that had the opportunity to perform at your concert, but creating awareness that these choirs exist, and deserve to be heard and be supported... it's going to the grassroots level and helping talents by the hundreds.
It is a formidable answer to child abuse, to poverty, to war. I think, this way, Music does have a voice that rings out to be heard and tells the rest of us: we need Change, and we are given that power to Change for good.
What I'm saying is, sure, TV contests help, but only to a certain extent. Not all can go to contests on TV, but these youngsters, just singing from the purity of their souls, that's something.
