For instance, those who do ballroom dancing wear sexy and sometimes skimpy-but-not tasteless clothes for a reason: so that it will make the dancing easier, not let the clothes hamper with movement. Now, as to the gyrating on TV, I don't see a point for the skimpy bikinis or almost-bikinis, especially when they don't most times have to do intricate steps. Does it take a lot of effort, energy and space to gyrate? I don't think so. Besides, the key word there is "taste." I never get offended watching Lucy Torres and Charlene Gonzales dancing in sexy clothes.

No matter how they defend it, we all know why they wear such things.Li'l Dove Featherhttp://lildovefeather.multiply.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5807177005602102709.post-13879085954839298712008-11-26T08:24:30.000+08:002008-11-26T08:24:30.000+08:00"...Can someone answer me this... how does on..."...Can someone answer me this... how does one classify those gyrating girls on the noontime TV shows?..."

Yeah right! I'm in favor of a ratings system, as there are certain situations on film that only people of a certain age can watch (depictions of violent crime or sexual situations, for example), and those ratings can advise parents what to let their kids watch.

Can someone answer me this... how does one classify those gyrating girls on the noontime TV shows? I don't let my daughter watch those programs, simply because of such displays. I'm no prude by any means, but come on! That's far more pornographic than whatever Lav Diaz may have created on film.Lea Salongahttp://bigsis222.multiply.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5807177005602102709.post-53115699441756705532008-11-14T07:33:04.000+08:002008-11-14T07:33:04.000+08:00That's too bad, I didn't get to read the c...That's too bad, I didn't get to read the comments. But this is a really important topic. There seems to be a prevailing elitist mentality that the Filipino people are not smart enough. Not smart enough to see beyond a nude scene when viewing an art film, not smart enough to make decisions about their own personal reproductive health (in the case of your other blog post about the Reproductive Health Bill). Has the Filipino people long been overly sheltered by the MTRCB and the Catholic Church making decisions for them regarding what they can see and what they can do to their own bodies? Horray for Armida Siguion-Reyna for speaking up! Horray for supporters of the Reproductive Health Bill! Horray for you, Lea, for amplifying these voices with your lovely one. They need to be heard.Catol =(^..^)=http://catolmama.multiply.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5807177005602102709.post-45802497773906972802008-11-06T21:59:02.000+08:002008-11-06T21:59:02.000+08:00me too
